Your organization's affiliate scholarship/stipend fund will be endorsed by Dr. DaBeth Manns as "The BSW Music Fund Affiliate Scholarship/Stipend" which acknowledges permission for name usage. Your affiliate scholarship/stipend fund shall be operated independently by your school, college/university, for-profit company, nonprofit organization, or independent community group (religious or secular). Your affiliate scholarship/stipend is not a subsidiary of, or fiscally connected to, the endowed scholarship fund at Winston-Salem State University.
You/your organization may raise funds for a variety of programs and activities: music, visual, writing, artisan-craft and performing arts, supplies acquisition, instruments acquisition, materials, transportation to and from competitions and/or professional development opportunities, lodging, entrance fees, tuition assistance, and related items. Concurrently, there are no restrictions (i.e., minimum or maximum) regarding the scholarship/stipend amount that can be raised or distributed through your affiliate scholarship fund. The notarized letter is sent with tracking credentials through the postal service or corporate mailing entity (e.g., UPS, FedEx, Purolator, or DHL).
